Events and Programs
The Friends of SCNP provide lots of events that might bring understanding, joy, and a sense of contribution. If you have a Facebook account, we recommend you follow us there and sign up as “going” when you see an event you plan to attend.
If you would like to see some of our past events, we generally include a summary of the previous month’s events in our newsletter. You can find issues at our newsletter page – and you can subscribe for free.

Know Your Nature Neighbors
July 12 @ 8:30 am - 10:00 am
We’ll take a walk and see what “neighbors” we can find – the frogs, dragonflies, oaks, and other living things we share the preserve with. We’ll take photos to document what we find using the nature app “iNaturalist” – you’re invited to do this as well (we will show you how if you’re new to it) but you certainly don’t have to.
We will meet in the parking lot and get started at 8:30am. Please bring water and consider using insect repellent and sunscreen. This walk is for folks around 10 through adult – and if you have an older child (ten through teen, if they’re interested in nature) that you want to bring, a responsible adult must accompany them.
